You tell yourself “I’m waiting for the right time!” then, you realize you missed the train. Nope, it’s not a good feeling when you actually hold yourself back thinking that it’s the best thing to do because the “sign” or “permission to go forward” hasn’t come yet!
Recently, I was speaking with someone about waiting on the right time to pitch and she responded by saying
“If you keep waiting on that 'right time' you’re gonna be broke!” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In that moment I laughed so hard because of how true it was but then I got to thinking and realized that truly if we wait for the falling star to be our sign to move forward consistently in our business, we’ll stay stuck. But then, it went further... I finally decided to take the step, seize the day with a few persons and best believe that the opportunity passed!
Other persons benefited from their investment... which meant that I was outrun, even though I was sure that because I was taking my time and building relationships, I would have eventually and comfortably gained their support.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now, by no means should you abandon your strategies and not be patient in what you’re doing for your biz in the midst of all the opportunities that await you, whether they be potential clients or potential programs. I am simply saying that if you hold yourself back because of uncertainty and you try and take the ‘safe’ route ALL the time, you’ll allow yourself to be left behind more often than you’d like.
Any and every biz takes some investment but you also shouldn’t hold yourself back due to a lack of resources. If you have your vision, make the necessary investments you need to start and go ahead and start. Don’t wait until you ‘have it all together’ and don’t be dazzled by what others in your industry have. I promise you that all the fancy things they have and/or work with aren’t what you need right now, they are expensive, more often than not, they didn’t have those things when they started out either. What you need to start or to scale your biz is a clear path ahead, confidence, determination, and consistency.
Your followers, your clients, and potential clients will love what you’re offering, they will love your personality and the way it shines doing what you love and offering them the service and transformation they need, and most importantly they will love the journey and seeing you grow. Don't rob yourself of the journey. The time is now!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So be willing to make the shift and do what you have to, to become comfortable with seizing opportunities that truly do feel aligned to you. When you make that shift, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see how quickly you grow and build confidence. Not seeing the clear path I mentioned? Not yet confident in your offerings or feeling more than lost as it relates to what your biz is offering or who you’re offering it to?
