The process of niching has always been expressed to me as choosing who you want to serve. As soon as I was able to choose HOW I wanted to niche; i.e. how I go about choosing WHO I wanted to serve, I got clarity.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
TIP1: Start with being mindful of a general target audience then narrowing it down to a specific sect that you feel fulfilled in serving.
This is most definitely the most common way and its great; But, what if I told you that I was having the hardest time doing that because it just really didn’t feel aligned to the core and mission of my business.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So, for me, it wasn’t enough to simply narrow it down to a set of professionals, or new business owners. This was because niching requires you to be extremely specific and in so doing allows you to get rid of the clutter and zero in on what really matters. And so for me, it moved from a broad audience of professionals, or new-business owners to female professionals or new business owners and then from that down to female professionals or new business owners who need guidance in creating and aligning their brand to meet their business and financial objectives.⠀
Are we getting the gist of how niching works? At all times you never want to forget to BE SPECIFIC.
There is more than one way to niche. The previous tip explored niching by way of who you want to serve but the other two are as follows:⠀⠀
Tip 2: Niche according to the service you provide.
With this type of niching your product does it all. Your product/service is tailored to a specific person. Take a step back and analyze what you are providing and think about who would be most reliant on your offering.
For example, if your product was a series of evening gym sessions that were geared towards shaping your body. Immediately we know that this is geared towards women who work who are interested in exercising/keeping fit and maintaining their shape.
Tip 3: Niche according to the transformation you provide.
⠀⠀⠀⠀
This type of niching goes without saying. Your niche will be the persons who want to achieve the desired result that your product/service enables. For example, the niche market for a virtual assistant would be someone who desires to transform their schedule from a full and hectic schedule to a manageable one that allows them more free time.
And there you have it! After using these tips I felt like all the clouds were removed and I’ve had different energy since!
